This is a course for employees who have to carry out lifting or moving activities in their job to adhere to reduce the risk of injuring themselves or anyone else.
Course Overview
To enable compliance with the Manual Handling Regulations 1992, this course is aimed at any person who engages in any form of manual handling as part of their daily duties. The course includes:
Legislation relating to manual handling
Anatomy and physiology of the spine
Manual handling, associated injuries and statistics
Understanding and practise of safe principles of manual handling
Assessment of manual handling operations and reducing risks where possible
Practical manual handling techniques

Anyone who carries out manual handling (lifting or moving objects/equipment) in their job.
What preparation do I need before taking the course?
Please dress in flat, comfortable shoes and wear loose clothing as you will be carrying out several practical exercises during the course.
